Logged Off Mystery Preview

When I learned about the forthcoming Amazon release of a special writer friend’s new book, Logged Off, I had to congratulate Rebecca Douglass and wish her much success with its November 23, 2026, release.

Here’s a quick first glimpse at Seffi Wardwell Mysteries Book 4:

Short Blurb:
Seffi’s happy to fill in for Smelt Point’s hospitalized librarian. She just didn’t know that being a librarian and finding answers for everyone would include solving a murder! Trouble is twining its roots into the village once again, and it needs to be cut off before it can spread.

Pre-orders are available on Amazon if you go to: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HLSS292G

My first reaction when I saw the nifty cover was, “Where’s that tree going to fall?” But I’m getting ahead of myself since I haven’t read the book yet. The back cover suggests more ‘timber’ intrigue.

Back-cover blurb:
A larcenous logger’s been cut down at the library.
Nothing much happens in Smelt Point as winter reluctantly gives way to spring—until the head librarian is rushed to the hospital. Retired science teacher Seffi Wardwell is left to keep the library open—and deal with the patron who’s driving everyone nuts.

Then she finds his corpse among the books. Jarvis Harding won’t ever disturb the quiet of the library again.

Seffi soon finds the question isn’t who would want to kill him, but who wouldn’t? The more she digs, the more suspects she unearths. Not only was Harding sneaking around the nature reserve with malicious intent, the nettlesome miscreant argued with everyone in Smelt Point. In short, he made enemies wherever he went.

Harding may not be missed, but someone has committed murder—and violated the sanctity of the library! That’s not acceptable, so once again Seffi joins in the hunt to figure out whodunnit. When more people disappear, and a friend is attacked, Seffi needs all her knowledge of plants—and people—to stop the killer.
