Welcome

The white-out descended, blanketing any evidence that might have remained, leaving Armand bewildered and uncertain as to what he had witnessed. Now his panic was building, reawakening the haunting memory that had never faded from his heart. He was back in another country, helpless, as he watched a broken body struggle for life, and the blood on his hands spilt on trampled snow.”

That’s the cliffhanger at the end of the Prologue to ‘Spiral of Hooves‘, my first published novel. This mystery set in the equestrian world of eventing was released as an e-book on Monday, December 9th, 2013. and will be re-released in a new second edition as an e-book and paperback on Monday, August 7th, 2017.

For a thrilling taster to whet your appetite, please visit my Spiral of Hooves page. However, that page and this site will continue to change somewhat in the next few weeks as the launch occurs.

I have re-edited the novel – see ‘Where now with Spiral of Hooves‘ – to reflect my readers and reviewers comments and having got my rights back I am self-publishing the second edition with a new cover and as a paperback as well as an eBook.

You are also welcome to continue exploring my writing world from here or via the menu on the left.

Writings Wings is my ‘word-smithing’ home online. It is a place to keep friends and followers informed about my journeys in the World of Writing & Scribbling as I try to evolve from a fledgeling fiction writer into someone that can offer words of import or entertainment or even amusement.

On the Blog, I will post my more instant musings as I perfect my writing and learn the art of editing the words into something that you would like to read.  For details on my writing, you can also visit other pages on this site like Work In Progress which gives a few clues to the novels and other creations that are finding their own wings through my scribblings. My shorts have evolved into Gossamer Flames and a post-apocalyptic world in progress.

If you want to know who I am, click here on About for a few clues. Welsh Musings are thoughts about the place where I live, Snowdonia in North Wales, which will be the setting for my next novel, “Fates Maelstrom” and its sequel “Seeking A Knife”.

I have also added some Favourite Links which include a portal to my life beyond writing, at The Duskweald – www.duskweald.com – as well as other valued links.

    • Thanks Sarah. Your comment was the inspiration that I needed this morning – to write more of my collection, which is in the myth tradition although bordering on science fiction. Commented on your site as loved post about spirals… and the jewellery.

  2. Hi…I see you are doing War of 1812. Love history. A-Z gets kind of crazy so will try to catch what I can. I’m doing Inventions by Women. Your book sounds interesting. I like a good mystery and I’m a Seabiscuit fan, so anything about horses is a natural draw 🙂

    • Agree that A to Z gets kind of crazy. I try to catch up afterwards as much as during. Also add an index to my post from one of permanent pages – Gossamer Flames last year and Snowdon Shadows this year.

Love finding good blogs like yours. Thanks. Like so much what I have found that I will be following. Looking forward to that already.
