Are you an avid reader?

After months of thinking, writing, editing, and re-writing, my post-apocalyptic novel, “Storms Compass“, is almost ready for a publisher.

Well, I hope that the manuscript is ready, now that I have integrated the comments and corrections from my kind and brave beta readers, plus from my tireless editor.

Barring a few dotted ‘t’s and crossed ‘i’s, the novel is ready to face a few more brave souls. However, this time I am looking for readers rather than writers.

No writing qualifications required, just the ability to read and know whether the story works. And if it doesn’t, where have I strayed, what is missing, who did you ‘love’ or ‘hate’?

I need to discover if this manuscript is good enough to be a published book.

And if you read historical romance, don’t worry, as it’s good to have readers from outside my genres.

Hoping to hear from you, and all the best, my faithful followers.

  1. How long is it? When would you want it read by? I am a writer, but I do read quite a bit. I prefer fantasy+adventure, but I’m all over the board. I’ll give you my honest opinion, if you want it. 🙂

Haven’t set a date as still waiting on my publishers. So happy to have you read and comment. Send me your contact details via my contact page.

  3. Good idea, Roland. I’m a critical reader — of my own stuff and others’. Seems like I always have my writer hat on. But when a book sweeps me off my feet and I’m not rewriting lines in my head, that’s when I know it’s a good one. Hope you hook a bunch of readers!

    • Agree Milo, about being a critical reader, although it’s the typos that hit me rather than things like motivation – although niggles over time. Including Loni Townsend, I have eight brave readers – a wide selection that will test the book.

    • Thanks Jane. I have my ‘quota’ of eight – but I will need reviewers when the time comes. Might also need your brilliant Amazon review again – “Spiral of Hooves” is no longer available; well not until I get a new publisher.
